JUSTICE AND JUDICIARY

  • The Mediation Centre of the Ministry of Justice received 384 complaints while 320 cases were successfully resolved;
  • The Public Prosecution Division of the Ministry received 409 case files from the Office of the Assistant Commissioner of Police State C.I.D. Iyaganku registry for legal advice.
  • The Ministry attended to 188 cases between June 2007 till date.
  • The Ministry vetted 223 Contracts Agreements within the period.
  • The State Government approved the Establishment of Zonal offices of Mediation Centres at Saki, Ogbomoso, Oyo and Igboora.
  • Training was conducted for all Legal Officers in Mediation Skill.
  • Two Legal Officers were sent on Overseas Training to the United Kingdom for training in Legal and Legislative Drafting Skills.
  • Approval was given by the State Government for the review of the laws of Oyo State.
