ISEYIN LOCAL GOVERNMENT
The Administrative Headquarters of Iseyin Local Government Area is located at Iseyin. According to 2006 population census, as the growth rate of 3.2%, the 20010 estimated population of the Local Government was projected to be 291,31 with a population density of 217 persons per square kilometer. The Local Government Area covers a landmass of 1,341.766 square kilometers.
The Local Government area shares boundaries with Itesiwaju Local Government Area to the north, Oyo West and Afijio Local Government Areas to the East, Kajola Local Government Area to the west and Ibarapa East Local Government Area to the south.
The people are predominantly farmers while Iseyin township is universally acknowledged as the Aso Oke (weavon cloth) town. Women in the Local Government area are engaged in the production of pots, garri, yam flour, cassava flour, melon and groundnut cake.
