I, Christopher Adebayo Alao-Akala, the Executive Governor of Oyo State, welcomes you to the official website of the Oyo State Government.

This website is part of the efforts of the Government to re-energize the information dissemination system in the State so that Government activities will be well-known to the people and the peoples' responses will be relayed back to Government.

I seize this opportunity to assure you that this Administration will be based on the cardinal principles of good governance, transparency, accountability, efficiency, rule of Law and social equity. We shall make conscious efforts to ensure that no part of this State is marginalized. Indeed, I will be guided by equity and good conscience believing that with meagre resources, the dividends of democracy can reach us all.

As a final point, being a man of peace who abhors violence, and as Government, we shall always strive to establish and maintain mutual co-existence amongst all groups in the State. It is only when there is peace that we can have meaningful and rapid development in our society. On our part, we as Government shall work assiduously to establish and leave behind a viable legacy in all sectors for generations yet unborn.
