GOVERNOR ALAO-AKALA PRAISES CHIEF KOLAPO OLAWUYI ISHOLA AT BOOK LAUNCH

Chief Kolapo Ishola welcoming Gov. Alao-Akala

The Oyo State Governor, Otunba Christopher Adebayo Alao-Akala has described the former Governor of Oyo State, Chief Kolapo Olawuyi Ishola as a worthy leader and a respected predecessor in office. He stated this today in Ibadan at the formal launch of the Kolapo Olawuyi Ishola Foundation and a book titled “Kolapo Ishola: A biography of an illustrious patriot” at the Mapo Hall. 

Governor Alao-Akala who said that Chief Kolapo Ishola was loved by all declared that the former Governor had impacted positively on the lives of other people adding that he would have a “good testimony to give before his Creator”. He further observed that the respected elder statesman had been able to sustain his political prowess within his community, describing him as grass root mobilizer – whose domain could not easily captured by any politician.

In his remark, the chairman of the occasion, former military governor of Ogun and Lagos states, Brig. Gen. Raji Rasaki described Chief Ishola as a patriotic leader who has passion for the transformation of his community.

Responding Chief Kolapo Ishola said that he would continue to commit his life to the service of humanity and the development of the rural areas stressing the need for government at various levels to lay more emphasis on ways of turning around the nation’s natural resources.
