Ajimobi Felicitates with Judiciary on 2018/2019 Legal Year

……Calls for their cooperation over Citizen’s Tax Compliance in the State

Oyo State Governor, Senator Abiola Ajimobi has felicitated with the Judiciary in the State on the celebration of 2018/2019 Legal year, called for maximum cooperation of Judiciary in awakening the consciousness of the Citizens of the State over tax compliance to facilitate the developmental programmes of Government.

The Governor Stated this at the special Service for the opening of 2018/2019 Legal Year held Ibadan Central Mosque, Oja’ba, Ibadan.

The Governor who spoke through the Secretary to Oyo State Government, Alhaji Olalekan Alli noted that Ajimobi led administration in the State will not eschew its constitutional responsibility to provide for the security and welfare of the people of the State as he will be providing enviable judicial system for the bench to be more suitable for daily adjudication.

He noted that for the Justice sector to achieve its dream of Justice and peace for the residents of the State, the Government has inaugurated the Oyo State Multi-Door Courthouse, an alternative Dispute Resolution, swore-in two Judges of High Court, President and three Judges of the Customary Court of Appeal of Oyo State.

The Governor commended the Judiciary for the speedy conclusion in the resolution of election dispute in the last Local Government in the State urging, them to replicate it in the 2019 general election in the Country.

In his earlier Address, The Chief Judge of Oyo State, Justice Munta Abimbola, stated that the service was to seek God’s blessings in the new legal year and rededicate themselves to the cause of justice and the administration of justice in Oyo State ahead of the new legal year.

He hinted that the State Jusdicary is more ready and committed to dispensing justice to all without fear and favour in the new legal year.
