The council was carved out of defunct oriire local government in 2016 by an act of Oyo state Parliament.
It is bounded by Olorunsogo local government, Igbeti by the north, Oriire local government by the south, ORIIRE south by the west while in the east by ASA local government in Kwara state
The people of this area are predominantly yoruba by tribe and Christian and Muslim respectively.

For the economic, social and educational development of the inhabitants of Oriire North LCDA and to bring government nearer to the people.

Our Mission

To ensure:

  • Agricultural development : To make utmost priority, provision of Farm in puts, financial assistance and farm implements to the farmers at affordable Cost
  • Roads development: Special attention is to be given to opening of rural feeder roads and periodic grading of existing ones.
  • Provision of portable water: Digging of boreholes both manual and motorized and repairs of existing ones for the constant supply of water to d inhabitants.
  • Education: To support both the state and state government in the construction of modern classrooms, chairs, tables and instructional materials to both primary and secondary schools with utmost aims of providing sound and qualitative education to children of LCDA areas.
  • Health: Health they say is wealth. There shall be modern maternity and dispensary centres across nook and crannies of the area and provision of drug and dressings with clean environment.
  • Security and social amenities.: To ensure that this council is not haven for the miscreants, security outfits would be assisted and social amenities like television and recreational centres are to the provided

This LCDA operates its administration as a fully-fledged local government structure i.e. with eight departments which has as its head the council manager who discharges its duties as d head of d local government. Each of d department is headed by a director as clearly showed in the line of authority.

Administrative structure.

Presently d LCDA has no political structure on ground because of d existing litigation BTW some bales in d Oyo province and d state government over d boundary structure of some local governments

He is d administrative head who coordinates d activities of all d departments. The council manager is in d person of Alhaji I A Atanda

Department of administration and general services

This Department works in tandem with the could manager, it’s the pivot where others radiate. its headed by Mr. Ajani AA

Finance and Supplies

This department oversees the collections of rates, fines and handles the treasury of the council. It ensures that all monies received are kept and all payments are vouchered. The department is headed by Alhaji Fatai yusuf.

Works and Housing

The department is saddled with construction of buildings, culverts, drains, and maintenance of vehicles and heavy duty plants. It’s headed by ENGR Olaniyan Rasaq.

PHC Department

The department handles all matters creating the primary health care if d LCDA. It is usually referred to as disease cure able department. It’s headed by Mrs. Adebisi

Environmental Health Services

It’s referred to as diseases prevention Department. It oversees the cleanness of the council area and ensures that all regulated premises conform with existing norms. The Department is headed by Mrs Adeniyi A.

Agricultural Department

This department handles all matters relating to cultivating of lands. Provision of farm implement and seedlings tons farmers at affordable rate and facilities provision of loans to them and a minimum interest. The head of d department is Mr Owolabi a.

Budge Planning, Research and Statistics

This d department is saddled with collection of data’s and its processes. It’s equally facilities d Early preparation of annual budget. The department is headed by Mrs Adebayo Bosede

Internal Audit

This department is under d office of d chairman. It sees to d checks and balances in d lcda financial administration. He ensured financial controls. Check stores and reports lotsb of fund and stocks. He ensure all monies are in d banks and payments meet financial regulations. The internal auditor is in person of Mr Oyedokun Williams
