Oyo State LGSC Permanent Secretary Tutors Admin Officers.


The permanent secretary of the Oyo State local government service commission, Pastor Muyiwa Olaoye, has invited all the Directors of Administration and General Services, as well as Establishment Officers in all the 33 LGs and 35 LCDAs in the state to a meeting, which was held at the conference room of the commission recently.

In his address to the officers, the permanent secretary explained the essence of the gathering, which bordered essentially on the need to train other members of staff in the local government service, on how to fill their Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (APER) forms correctly.
“There is the need to train other members of staff of the local government on how to correctly fill their APER forms, being the major method of appraising the level of their performance, their training needs and eligibility for promotion or not,” Pastor Olaoye stressed.

Other contributors at the auspicious meeting were Alh. T. T. Mudasiru, director of administration, Ibadan North; Dr. (Mrs) Ojo, Messrs Oguntona and Bamgbose, among others.

The objective of the meeting was to improve the level of awareness among local government workers on the imperative of correct way of filling the annual assessment form, which is used as one of the criteria for promotion in the service.

The PS was accompanied by members of the Management team of the Commission.
