06 Jul 2020 Oyo State Diaspora Affairs celebrates Oyo Indigenes in Diaspora

As part of the activities of the Office of Diaspora Affairs, the State Government will be celebrating Oyo State Diasporans achieving great feats in the world.

The First feature was on @timi.adelakun.Timi Adelakun is the first Nigerian/American graduating from South Broward High School Florida with the highest record breaking GPA of 5.604, this being the highest GPA the School has ever recorded in its History. This 18 year old is a proud Citizen of Oyo State from Ibadan.
A wise American president once said, “Nigerians constitute the most educated immigrants in the United States.

This is an astonishing achievement, which should be recognised and celebrated.  Indeed, the Oyo State Government under the leadership of His Excellency Engineer Seyi Makinde and the entire people of Oyo in Nigeria and Diaspora celebrate you and we wish you the best in your future endeavours.

We have no doubt in our minds that more Nigerians all over the globe are doing great things; please keep making us proud @timi.adelakun.
